Paul Hawkins
Paul Hawkins & Thee Awkward Silences

"Paul Hawkins sounds like no-one. Someone doing something truly on their own and making the rules up as they go along." - Artrocker

Maverick singer-songwriter Paul Hawkins and Death in Vegas guitarist turned underground producer Ian Button formed the Awkward Silences five years ago to lend power and weight to Hawkins' skewed outsider pop and antihero character studies. Drawing influence from the Garage rock of the Stooges, Fall-esque post-punk and the blackly comic narratives of Nick Cave, Paul Hawkins & Thee Awkward Silences are intense, imaginative and highly entertaining.
The Savage Nomads
